Bunya Muchaeva is a Toronto-based designer specializing in furniture, set, and interior design . With a background in Environmental Design from OCAD University, her work spans fabrication, curation, and experiential design, exploring how materials and space shape interaction.

Muchaeva has exhibited at the Royal Winter Fair, curated Hungry Little Show , and received the NP Architect Award for innovative and creative design work. Her first solo exhibition opens December 5 at Remote Gallery, Toronto. 



EDUCATION







                        Bachelor of Environmental Design (Honors) from OCAD University in Toronto, with a focus on design, fabrication, and spatial planning.       
                           
CURATORIAL AND PROGRAMMING
     

















Curated Hungry Little Show , a butter-sculpture-themed exhibition, managing all aspects of the project including artist coordination, venue and production logistics, installation and strike, and promotional materials.                                         
 









PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT
            Participated as a butter sculptor at the Royal Winter Fair since 2022, creating intricate compositions and engaging audiences during live demonstrations while coordinating materials, storage, and post-event operations.
